What this is

Frome Moog Coop is a live improvised music project. Everything you can hear on this site was played once, in a room, in front of people, and recorded as it happened. Nothing is overdubbed. Nothing is fixed afterwards.

Why it is not on streaming services

Because the recordings are documents, not products. A set is a single unbroken take that responds to a room, a night, and whoever happens to be in it. Cut into three-minute tracks and dropped into a playlist, it stops being that and becomes something else.

So the archive lives here instead, in order, in full. Play it front to back if you have an afternoon. Or subscribe to the feed in any podcast app and each new set will arrive on its own.

The ambition

More interesting live shows. Stranger rooms, longer sets, more people in the patch. The archive is the by-product; the point is the next one.
